Meg

My daughter is expecting her latest psychotherapy ‘review’ in the next week or so. I have been encouraged by her recent progress but remain acutely anxious about her long term future. Meg has been a patient with the Community Mental Health Team at the Bridge Centre, Basingstoke since March 2022 and already completed one eight-week program of Exposure Response Prevention ( ERP ) therapy and a lengthy program of explorative Psychodynamic therapy for almost a year. She started a second course of ERP therapy in February 2025 with psychotherapist, Matt Sopp. The accumulative total therapy duration has run to around ONE HUNDRED sessions! That metric should give the reader a good idea of the extent of the mental health challenges that Meg has been burdened with. It should also give the reader a clear and objective perspective into the substandard care delivered by the team at CAMHS, Bramblys Drive, Basingstoke between February 2021 and January 2022. The failures by CAMHS psychotherapist, Mark Birbeck have, undoubtedly, contributed to Meg’s suffering over the past five plus years. Those same failures have, arguably, denied my daughter expectations of a full mental health recovery.

Thankfully, Matt Sopp has proved himself a skilled and thoroughly trustworthy psychotherapist. I firmly believe that if Meg had been given access to Matt back in 2018 when she was first referred to CAMHS then she would be completely well by now.

Meg is likely to be signposted to a new regime of psychotherapy and or rehabilitation in the coming weeks. Whatever happens to Meg has a profound impact on what happens to me, her dad and main carer. I would give anything for my daughter to be well. I always sit in on Meg’s mental health reviews. Retrospective assessment and forward planning usually means modifying my own life, my expectations and my own behaviors. It also means that I constantly need to reappraise the actions that I end up reporting here on my blog.

Legal Representation

In my blog post https://www.fourandtwentydeadcrows.com/post/latest-issues-11th-june-2026 I published a letter intended for lawyers, solicitors and media outlets. I returned to the government’s legal advice and information service and made a specific search for Legal Aid Advisors using specific selection categories pertinent to my grievances. The search result initially delivered 418 entries though many of the Legal Aid Advisors had multiple listings over different locations throughout the UK. The actual number of Legal Aid Advisors included on the government database was just over 160.

I have contacted around 120 Legal Aid Advisors so far, without success.

I have received roughly 80 replies so far and the responses have largely been a variation of

‘…Unfortunately, after reviewing the information provided, we are unable to assist with your matter at this time due to capacity constraints,…’

Once I have exhausted my enquiries I will publish the results here on my blog.

Hampshire Constabulary

I resubmitted my complaint about Hampshire Constabulary to the Independent Office for Police Conduct THREE WEEKS AGO, on the 12^th June, 2026 but the force STILL refuses to even acknowledge me.

Hampshire Constabulary continues to refuse to remove FALSE, DISCRIMINATORY and PSYCHOLOGICALLY DAMAGING information about me from their database in relation to accusations made against me by CAMHS ‘art therapist’, Sally Mungall.

Hampshire Constabulary still refuses to hold themselves to account for their involvement in the inappropriate referral of me to the counter-terrorism initiative, PREVENT.
