THE PREVENT FILES # 2
Holding healthcare professionals to account for their decisions is akin to playing a tortuous game of snakes and ladders, more precisely the Indian version where snakes outnumber ladders. Formal complaints processes are plagued by veritable cobras, kraits and vipers while the ladders are rickety, rotten and rare.
I am still waiting for the Health and Care Professions Council to agree to the full ‘scope’ of my fitness to practice complaint against their registrant, art therapist, Sally Mungall. I first made the fitness to practice complaint back in September 2022.
The ‘corrupt by design’ Parliamentary Health Service Ombudsman refuses to investigate the full ‘scope’ of my complaints against the Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. I first made my complaints to the PHSO back in September 2022.
I have, today, written to the office of Luke Murphy, MP for Basingstoke asking for his support in calling for the long overdue legislative reform of the PHSO called for by the Public Administration and Constitutional Affairs Committee.
And now the referral of me to Prevent in June, 2025!
Gemma Stubbington, while acting as Head of Nursing at CMHT, The Bridge Centre, Basingstoke, made a contentious referral of me to the government’s counter-terrorism initiative, PREVENT on the 18th June, 2025. That referral was actioned by Dawn Jenks of Prevent Referrals and closed with her supervisor’s approval on the 7th July, 2025.
It took Gemma Stubbington just FIVE WORKING DAYS to file the completed National Prevent referral forms with the Prevent Gateway Team.
I have been trying to hold Gemma Stubbington to account for almost EIGHT MONTHS!
While trying to hold Gemma Stubbington to account I have been making Subject Access Requests of
1) Sadie Bell’s team at Information Governance at the Trust ( HIOWH ) and
2) Jason Russell at the Joint Information Management Unit for Hampshire Police.
Both Sadie Bell and Jason Russell have cynically and vexatiously obstructed most of my Subject Access Request ever since.
Earlier this morning I received two emails, one from Sadie Bell and the other from Jason Russell.
Both Sadie Bell and Jason Russell first acknowledge written instructions from Paula Flanagan, Lead Case Officer at the Information Commissioners Office to comply with my requests or give good reason for failing to comply. Both Sadie Bell and Jason Russell continue to refuse access to my personal data. I have responded to both Sadie Bell and Jason Russell this morning.
In the spirit of journalistic transparency I will publish Paula Flanagan’s written instructions to Sadie Bell and the email thread from this morning. I will publish that information immediately in my next post to this blog and share with Prevent Watch and the national press.
In the same spirit of journalistic transparency I will publish this morning’s email correspondence with Jason Russell in a further post to this blog and share with Prevent Watch and the national press.
In the meantime my plans for my New Campaign continue to remain on hold.
