I have just received the following email from Basingstoke MP, Luke Murphy,

From: Luke. Murphy MP ****************************Sent: Wednesday, June 3, 2026 2:15 PMTo: *******************************Subject: (Case Ref: LM*****)

Dear Mr Stock

You should now have received the response from the PHSO. You will note that as you were unable to agree the scope of the investigation into your complaint, and as it appeared unlikely an investigation on the terms the PHSO offered would be satisfactory to you, they have confirmed that your case will be closed.I understand that this is not the outcome you hoped for but in order for the Ombudsman to take up a case they have to have to be clear on what they can investigate and without your agreement on what they were able to offer, it was not possible to continue your complaint. I realise this is hugely frustrating and I am sorry it has ended this way, but I do not feel there is any further action that can be taken on this matter. Please do get in touch at any time in the future if there is any other issue you would like Luke’s support

My response was immediate and written in anger. I haven't proof read my response. I just wrote it and sent it without rereading. It is what it is.

Dear Tracey,

Thank you for your email.

Indeed, I have just recently received the deplorable and insulting response from the PHSO. While the content of their response came as no surprise to me, I was, nevertheless, sickened by the sheer unprofessionalism and obvious contempt they have for me and my serious concerns about the Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

By refusing to uphold the FULL SCOPE of my complaints the PHSO is, effectively, condoning clinical negligence, misrepresentation, lies and actual CORRUPTION.

I cannot, in good conscience, allow the PHSO or Luke Murphy to draw a line under this whole sordid affair.

I will be writing again to your office later next week, outlining my concerns about the PHSO and asking Luke to take up the cause of thousands of disenfranchised NHS patients like myself and reiterate the call by the Public Administration and Constitutional Affairs Committee for the legislative reform of the PHSO.

We, the criminally disregarded and dismissed constituents from around the country, need YOUR representation in Parliament. I put it to you that leadership and management working as Patient Advisory Liaison advisors throughout the NHS understand that the PHSO will not uphold the complaints of a significant proportion of service users; they know that there is no real accountability, that it is baked into the complaints process. Until this matter is resolved then the NHS will continue to degrade in the absence of accountability, service will decline and patients will find themselves progressively at increased risk and real danger.

I will be protesting, publicly, against this decision later in September and it may be that my life will be at risk, again.

I WILL NOT BACK DOWN!
