A SERIES OF UPDATES
THE UK PARLIAMENTARY COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH INQUIRY SUBMISSION
I have taken time out from posting to Four and Twenty Dead Crows so as to collate evidence to submit to the Inquiry before the deadline of the 4th February, 2025.
‘The Committee is undertaking an inquiry into community mental health services. The inquiry will examine what good looks like from the perspective of service users and their families/carers. The Committee would like the inquiry to shine a light on case studies of innovative practice and high-quality care across the country, and to undertake meaningful and impactful engagement with people accessing these services.
The inquiry will consider how service users’ wider health and social needs can be addressed, including in employment and housing, and to understand what policy interventions are required to improve how these needs are met. As part of this inquiry, the Committee also wants to assess to what extent the Community Mental Health Framework is driving improvements in the delivery of more integrated, person-centred care.’
I managed to complete and forward my submission yesterday which means that I will resume posting to Four and Twenty Dead Crows later this week.
HUNGER STRIKE
I have been engaged in Cognitive Analytical Therapy at CMHT , The Bridge Centre with Dr Preston since 23rd October, 2024. Dr Preston has become increasingly concerned about my current protest by way of hunger strike, making it clear that she will be forced to call a halt to continued therapy should my physical and mental health become compromised. It became apparent during my therapy session with her last week that her decision to halt therapy was imminent. I have, therefore, decided to suspend my current hunger strike until I have completed my current regime of CAT. I understand that I have five more CAT sessions scheduled after which I will resume my hunger strike unless…
LETTER TO THE HOME OFFICE AND TO THE MINISTRY OF JUSTICE
Last Wednesday I was informed by Luke Murphy, MP for Basingstoke, that he would be forwarding a letter written by me to both the Home Office and the Ministry of Justice. That letter sets out the facts detailing the unjust actions taken against me by Hampshire Police and my protest against their decision to retain false, discriminatory and psychologically damaging information held under my name on their database. If Lord Hanson, the Minister of State at the Home Office or his counterpart at the Ministry of Justice intervenes and approves the removal of that information and if Hampshire Police complies and removes that information then I will have no need to continue with my hunger strike.
THE PARLIAMENTARY HEALTH SERVICE OMBUDSMAN
I informed my readers in LATEST ISSUES # 7th January, 2025, that I was still waiting for the PHSO to appoint a senior caseworker to my complaint against CAMHS, Bramblys Drive, Basingstoke and the wider Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. I originally lodged my complaint with the PHSO in September, 2022! On the 17th January I was contacted by Thomas Body, senior caseworker at the PHSO informing me that he had just been appointed to my complaint. Due to the complexities and the sheer volume of evidence that I have supplied I have agreed, in the first instance, to reformulate and offer a summary of my complaints. I resubmitted an inventory that amounts to around 80 actual separate complaints! I received the following email from Thomas on the 20th January, 2025.
‘Der Mr Stock,
Thank you for sending through the requested information. As you can appreciate due to the number of points you have raised this will take me some time to get through, so please bear with me.
Thank you
Thomas

I am currently awaiting further notification from Thomas.
THE HEALTH AND CARE PROFESSIONS COUNCIL
I also informed my readers in LATEST ISSUES # 7th January, 2025, that I had received an email from Claire Sharkey informing me that she was the new Case Manager assigned to my ‘fitness to practice’ complaint against CAMHS art therapist, Sally Mungall. Claire went further, informing me that the HCPC senior decision maker had recommended only two out of seven issues raised in my ‘fitness to practice’ complaint against their registrant, Sally Mungall, to be referred to the HCPC Investigating Committee Panel.
I immediately protested the decision and responded with extensive written arguments by the 17th December, 2024. I am considering publishing those extensive written arguments to this blog site, Trust Issues.
I received an email reply from Claire on the 19th December, 2024 informing me that she was in the process of reviewing my response to the recommendation made by the HCPC senior decision maker.
I have, to date, received no further communication from Claire.
