UPDATE ON THE LETTER TO SOLICITORS AND THE NATIONAL PRESS

On the 11th June, 2026 I gave readers a sneak preview of a written appeal addressed to solicitors, to the national press and television agencies throughout the country.

I already have some experience of the legal system in this country and the way the judiciary works, or doesn’t.

I wrote to around 176 legal firms towards the end of 2023 seeking assistance with addressing my grievances at CAMHS, Bramblys Drive, Basingstoke and the wider Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. Around two thirds of those legal firms responded with versions of ‘unfortunately, we cannot be of assistance.’ The reasons for these responses were almost perfectly encapsulated in one of three ways.

1)      ‘Sorry but we are at currently running at capacity’ or ‘we don’t have the resources to deal with such a complicated case’

2)      ‘Sorry but your issues fall outside of our legal expertise’ or

3)      ‘Sorry but we do not provide legal advice or assistance with Legal Aid’.

Legal aid is government funding that helps pay for legal advice, family mediation, and representation in court for eligible cases. However, significant cuts since 2013 have dramatically reduced who qualifies and what areas of law are covered.

‘Years of underinvestment have brought the justice system to its knees. Victims, defendants and witnesses are suffering the consequences while hardworking solicitors are forced out of the sector. We're fighting for properly funded legal aid and investment in a justice system that is available for all.’ - https://www.lawsociety.org.uk/topics/legal-aid/

By the end of 2023 I was mentally exhausted and differed my grievance claims to the Parliamentary Health Service Ombudsman. That didn’t go so well. The PHSO is an Orwellian memory hole. The PHSO is also ‘corrupt by design’- Della Reynolds. The PHSO has more in common with an oubliette, a  medieval dungeon prison used to torture and forget political enemies, where complaints go to die, ‘a place you put people ... to forget about 'em!’

My own years of experience of the PHSO has been truly torturous.

I learned valuable lessons and turned my attention to the Legal Aid problem. Over the last weekend I returned to the government’s legal advice and information service and made a specific search for Legal Aid Advisors. Further selection categories pertinent to my grievances ie ‘CLAIMS AGAINST PUBLIC AUTHORITIES’, ‘CRIMINAL NEGLIGENCE’, ‘MENTAL HEALTH’ and ‘PUBLIC LAW’ narrowed the search results 418 law firms.

I made just 20 enquiries over a 48 hour period and, almost immediately, received some promising replies. On Monday, I spoke to an assessor for around an hour and was encouraged by the genuine interest and the shared incredulity. I don’t think they had ever heard a story quite like mine. That assessment is now being processed for consideration.

I now believe it prudent to devote the next two to three weeks to contacting ALL FOUR HUNDRED AND EIGHTEEN law firms identified by that government search engine. The new campaign of protests that I am currently considering for the end of summer are extreme and time-consuming. I will, again, be risking further referral to counter-terrorism through Prevent, arrest, possible prosecution and worse. Better to exhaust all legal avenues first.

I am seeking legal assistance, under LEGAL AID provision, to remedy multiple grievances against

CAMHS, Bramblys Drive, BASINGSTOKE,

the art therapist who provided damaging psychotherapy outside of their professional remit,

the SUSSEX PARTNERSHIP NHS FOUNDATION TRUST,

HAMPSHIRE & IOW HEALTHCARE NHS FOUNDATION TRUST ( formally SOUTHERN HEALTH NHS FOUNDATION TRUST ),

INFORMATION GOVERNANCE at HAMPSHIRE & IOW HEALTHCARE NHS FOUNDATION TRUST,

HAMPSHIRE CONSTABULARY,

the JOINT INFORMATION MANAGEMENT UNIT of HAMPSHIRE CONSTABULARY,

the PARLIAMENTARY HEALTH SERVICE OMBUDSMAN.

Statutes of limitations may have expired on a number of issues but I would argue that my documented poor mental health has often rendered me uncapable of understanding my legal options and responding in a timely manner.

I will, therefore, temporarily postpone initiating my high-profile, online media campaign and delay inviting professionals from the UK psychotherapy community to my blog at www.fourandtwentydeadcrows.com by around three weeks. I will also postpone contacting media, including national press, tv and radio for the same amount of time.

I do have the next two instalments of my ‘Theory of Everything’ already drafted alongside a sketch drawn up for my next post of Latest Issues and I will upload these to my blog over the next three weeks.

I intend to open a Substack account in the next few weeks in order to reach a wider audience. I will update you with further details sometime in July.
